shoes deserve a post too!
So I am a very happy camper.
At first I was going to make this strictly a blog about photography and my amazing brides. But then I decided that I'm a bride too- and I want a blog.
So until October I might mix in a few wedding posts now and again. I'm just so excited for the big day that I want to share it with the world. I'll try not to overload it.
But we all know how brides can be when they want to talk about their big day. ;)
Anywho, why the happy camper? Well after months and months of searching desperately I have finally found my shoes.
Yes, you read right, this is a post about shoes. You know you love it!
I knew I wanted my shoes to stand out and be completely opposite from my dress. Since I got my dress for free (the only thing in my life I've ever won!) I figured I could splurge on my shoes...but I still have a problem paying alot for something that will only be on my feet a few hours. But in any case, I've been scouring the web and stores for those perfect pumps and ended up buying a couple possibilities but they never felt right.
And then I found Aldo.
I had come across the wonders of Aldo on a trip to California. We didn't have this luxury in Omaha, and when I was in the mall in Overland Park I came across this store and remembered its greatness. So I went to the website and hit up the clearance section and low and behold- there were the shoes. They called to me.
They only had one size, they are a bit small but they will work. They are amazing.
Aren't they great?!
But look at those heels. I dont know bout you. But being a photographer didn't exactly give me amazing balance. So wearing those 5 inch heels for any length of time won't be a good idea. But I adore them. So they are my ceremony shoes. I figure I can stand in them for 30 minutes and get some great pictures. Provided I don't fall down the hill of stairs that our ceremony site has.
Though that would make good for the videographer.
So then I was on the search for reception shoes.
Ebay is my best friend. I found this adorable pair of Betsey Johnson shoes (selling for $150+ in stores!) in my size (what are the odds?!) and snatched them in the last 11 seconds for a whopping $15.80.
Yes, I irritated quite a few last second bidders. But I am an Ebay God.
I think the hearts are quite appropriate. And like I said- huge Betsey Johnson fan.
Think of the pictures that will come from my shoes!
Now I just need to decide on a color to dye my crinny.
